Consultation

The first step in the process is a free initial consultation to find out about the nature of your project and what you need from it, what your budget might be and what services you need from us. We will be happy to visit you for an informal discussion.

Preparation & brief

Building on our initial consultation, we will work together to further define the exact nature and scope of the project. We will also make preparations to move the project forward, including conducting any surveys and advising what other information might be required.

Developed design

Once the concept design has been approved by the client, we will produce developed design information in preparation to apply for the necessary permissions from the local authority.

Construction

During this stage you will see your project come to life. We can help you find a suitable contractor and undertake regular site visits at regular intervals to check the progress and quality of the work.

Fee agreement

Following our initial consultation we will have some idea of the scope of the project. We can then asses our fee levels, which will be set out in writing for your approval, together with a description of our services Once this is agreed, we can begin the design process in earnest.

Concept design

We will develop a set of initial designs based on the brief for your approval. Following further discussions with you, these can be adjusted to make sure the proposals work according to your needs. We can then review costs & timescales to decide the best way forward.

Technical design

We will produce technical design drawings showing key construction details, materials and finishes to be used. Contractors will use this information to provide quotes to build the project.
